Kids Castle

In between work and my hobby (reptiles) I sometimes get chance to build things for around the house such as furniture, planters for the garden and some really fun stuff like Castles.
You can see my two Little horrors taking every opportunity to cause trouble, the eldest is probably going to shoot his little brother in the back of the head, Don't feel sorry for him though he probably deserves it : ) they are just as bad as one another. (oh! and before I get Flamed, the gun is a TOY just like the Castle)
I built this Castle out of offcuts of Shuttering ply that I had laying around in my work shop.
All of the rocks and even the graining on the door is painted by myself. I really enjoyed making this and I take as much enjoyment watching my two boys and their friends playing on it..
Cost to rebuild this Castle, from new materials around £450

Up-cycling.

I Love Gardening and I hate waste, so I love to combine the two by what I like to call Up-cycling.
Whenever I see an old pallet, I see other uses for it, I have made many things from old Pallets but Planters are one of my favourite Upcycling uses.
This is part of an old pallet that I have used as a strawberry planter.
Once painted, lined with heavy duty plastic sheeting (also waste) and homemade Compost, these old pallets take on a new lease of life.

Garden furniture.

Here Is a garden bench that I made from old Pallets, I have since added planters to the sides of it, now the plants are establishing them self it looks really good.
The Two planters on the top, were knocked up out of Ply off cuts. Then I used a small blow torch to burn "Flowers" in to the front face, then I lined with Plastic sheeting filled with Compost and planted some bedding plants I had been growing in my little Greenhouse.

Topsy Turvy Pots.

It was a right pain to get these to Pots to balance.
